Let's talk about the impact of flue gas on dust - removal filter bags. When people see the term "flue gas", they usually think of the white or black smoke coming out of a chimney. But it's not entirely clear what exactly flue gas consists of. Now, let's follow the editor of Mingkai to find out what flue gas is.

"Flue gas" is a mixture of gas and smoke, and it is a major cause of air pollution. The composition of flue gas is relatively complex. It includes water vapor, SO₂, N₂, O₂, CO, CO₂, hydrocarbons, and nitrogen compounds in the gas, and the smoke includes ash from fuel, coal particles, oil droplets, and high - temperature cracking products. Therefore, the pollution of flue gas to the environment is a complex pollution of various harmful substances. The harm of smoke dust to the human body is related to the size of the particles. The particles that are harmful to the human body are mostly those with a diameter less than 10 micrometers, especially those with a diameter of 1 - 2.5 micrometers, which are extremely harmful.

After understanding the basic concept and main components of flue gas, let's talk about the dust - removal filter bags and the relationship between flue gas and dust - removal filter bags.

Dust - removal filter bags are one of the main dust - removal components of bag - type dust collectors. They can isolate harmful gases and protect the environment and human health. However, in industrial production, there are many factors that affect them, and flue gas has a relatively serious impact on them. Let's take a look at the impacts of flue gas on dust - removal filter bags:

(1) High temperature of flue gas. Bag - type dust collectors are mainly used for dust removal in the flue gas of industrial boilers, fluidized - bed boilers, kilns, and coal - fired power plant boilers. The temperature of such flue gas is usually relatively high, and the gas temperature when entering the dust collector is generally around 100°C - 300°C. So, the performance of ordinary chemical fibers will be affected at this temperature. Therefore, the filter materials of bag - type dust collectors use high - temperature - resistant fiber materials.

(2) Corrosion by acidic gases. When burning high - sulfur coal or using flue gas without desulfurization treatment, the concentrations of sulfur oxides and nitrogen oxides in it are very high. Except for the dust - removal filter bags made of PTFE materials, other chemically synthesized fibers will be corroded and damaged, thus shortening the service life of the dust - removal filter bags.

(3) Oxidation effect of flue gas. Flue gas has an oxidizing effect on dust - removal filter bags. Since oxygen accounts for 21% in the air and the temperature of flue gas is also high, dust - removal filter bags will suffer a lot during operation. To avoid this situation, it is necessary to choose dust - removal filter bags with anti - oxidation function, such as those made of P84 polyimide, PPS, and PTFE materials.

(4) Moisture in flue gas. When operating at high temperatures, when the moisture content of the dust in the flue gas exceeds 25%, the dust will stick and clog the bags. If the hydrolysis resistance of the material is not high, the hydrolysis effect will also damage the filter material.
